Document360 integration with Make allows you to create workflows, automate and integrate it with different applications. It acts as a bridge to create automated workflows called Scenarios which work based on actions and triggers. You can create complex workflows without coding, and it supports simple drag and drop interface or ready-made app integrations.

API Key generation in Document360

1. Go to your project in the Document360 portal

2. Click Settings → Knowledge base portal → Extensions → Team Collaboration, and you can find the Make widget at the bottom

3. In the Make extension widget, click the Generate ‘⊕︀’ button and click Yes in the confirmation prompt

4. Copy the generated key by clicking on the Copy icon

You can use this key to connect your Document360 knowledge base with other 3rd party applications on Make.

Document360 integration within the Salesforce console enhances and equips your support agents with a robust knowledge base while serving customers. It makes easy for agents to swiftly gain access to articles, FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions), and community-shared knowledge that connects to their needs.

Login to your Document360 portal to authorize the Salesforce integration.

  1. Click on Settings → Knowledge base portal → Extensions → Helpdesk, and you can find the Salesforce widget
  2. Under Salesforce, click the Authorize button, and the Allow access window appears.
  3. Click the Allow button and wait for a few seconds
  4. Now, you can find the status (Project connected to Salesforce…) in the Salesforce widget. You can also find the Salesforce account URL connected with your project

During installation process you can now specific who has access to the app within salesforce from any one of the three options provided:

  • Install for admins only
  • Install for all users (default)
  • Install for specific profiles


Adding Document360 in Cases home page

Integrate the newly added Document360 app inside the Cases home page on Salesforce

  1. From the Salesforce home page, click on the App launcher on the top left
  2. Search for Cases and click on it, If you don’t have any active cases, you can click on the New button at the top right.
  3. In the pop-up window, you can mention the details about your new case such as the nature of case, customer info, case origin, priority, and more.
  4. In the Cases home page, you can find the recently added cases. Click on any one of the case
  5. Now click on the Setup icon → Edit page at the top right
  6. You would be redirected to the Lightning App Builder page where you can add, drag, and drop components/widgets in your cases page
  7. On left components list you can find Visualforce when you scroll down
  8. Click, hold, drag and drop onto the design page. On the right, you can set the component height in pixels.
  9. Document360 app would be added to the page. You can add, delete, or reposition the different components in the page.
  10. Click on save button when you’re done.
  11. If you’re asked to activate component in a prompt. Click on the Activate button.
  12. Go back to Cases page and find the Document360 app added

Crowdin and Document360 integration provide an array of possibilities in context to quality machine and human translation of content between multiple languages. This would simplify and automate the localization of your multilingual knowledge base.

How to setup Crowdin integration:

Select the created Crowdin project, and you will be taken to the project dashboard:

  1. On the dashboard side menu, go to Resources → Integrations & API
  2. From the list of integration options available, select the Document360 application
  3. Now, the application would require an API token from Document360
  4. To fetch the API token, go to Document360 and log in to the portal
  5. Go to Settings → Knowledge base portal → API tokens
  6. Type in the Token name in the field
  7. Select the options required in the Allowed Method(s) field (GET, POST, PUT, DELETE)
  8. Click on the Generate button and copy the generated API token
  9. Head back to the Document360 app on the Crowdin integration page
  10. Paste the copied token in the field and press enter

 

Crowdin Translation using API Token:

From your Crowdin workspace, select the Crowdin project configured with your Document360 knowledge base.

  1. Click on your profile from the top right corner and select Account settings
  2. Select the Access tokens and in the Personal Access Tokens section, click on the New token button
  3. Type in the Token name; select All scopes and click on the Create button at the bottom
  4. You’d be asked to verify by login screen
  5. Your access token has been created. Click on the icon to copy the token
  6. Head back to the Document360 Settings → Knowledge base portal → Extensions, select the Translation & Browser extension tab, and select Crowdin
  7. Paste the copied access token in the API key section
  8. Type in the Organization name from your Crowdin account
  9. Click the Save button, and you are ready to go.
  10. You can now use the Push to Crowdin option from Document360.

With the Document360 intercom integration, you can now provide real-time help to your users. Intercom and Document360 can be used together to give real-time support for your website visitors by searching for and sharing articles (links or article content) from your Document360 knowledge base within the Intercom messenger

After successfully installing the app in your workspace, you will need an API key to complete the configuration. Return to the Document360 site and complete the steps outlined below to receive this API key.

API key generation on Document360

  1. Click on Settings → Knowledge base portal → Extensions
  2. Under the Helpdesk tab, you can find the Intercom widget
  3. Click on the (+) to generate a unique API token
  4. Click on the copy icon next to the generated token
  5. Paste the copied API token in Intercom to complete the integration

Setting up Intercom messenger on Document360:

  1. Once you have acquired the Intercom App ID, copy it
  2. Head back to Document360 dashboard, go to Settings → Knowledge base site → Integrations
  3. Click on Add new integration button on the top
  4. Select Intercom from the list of integration options available
  5. In the description, field enter a name or any text
  6. In the Intercom ID field paste the copied app ID
  7. Click Add
